Disclaimer: They're mine. No wait, that's Joss. My bad. In other words I don't own the characters or the show and suing would get you about as much as trying to get the little people to come out of the TV and play (it never works, I think they like it in there).

Ask me, I may go into shock at the idea that anyone would want this. Once that's passed I'll most likely say yes though.

Feedback: Please, good or bad but be nice. I'm fragile.

Pairing: Willow/Kennedy

Author's notes: This is the first thing I've ever written so you'll be entering cliché-ville anytime now. There may be a brief visit to the land of inaccurate characterization also.

Summary: Willow and Kennedy talk the morning after Get it Done.

Willow woke in Buffy's room to find the slayer was gone. The floor that had been covered in potential slayers when she went to bed only a few hours ago was now clear. The sleeping bags against the walls were the only evidence of the room's extra occupants.

She headed out into the hallway to find it too refreshingly empty. Upon entering her own room, Willow saw that the only person there was asleep on the bed. The Wiccan tip-toed to her closet to find clothes for the day.

"Is it morning already?" mumbled the Kennedy-shaped lump on the bed.

"Thought you were asleep," Willow replied.

Kennedy rolled over and Willow could see that she was quite awake, "I couldn't sleep so well, up here all on my own."

"Yeah, I thought you might enjoy your space. Your space was filled with other slayers in training but at least I tried." Willow paused for a moment before looking around again. "Speaking of which, it's surprisingly possible to walk without standing on anyone this morning."

"Buffy has all the other potentials out training. Whatever happened with the portal mojo must have her worried. She wants us in hyper-training mode. They went about an hour ago. She let me out of it, at least out of the pre-dawn training." Kennedy looked thoughtful before adding, "pre-'the sun rising' dawn, not Buffy's sister."

Willow smiled, "You do realize you just ruined a perfectly good pun."

"It seemed a little early for that kind of hilarity."

"Well, at least you've had the room to yourself for a few minutes anyway." Willow knew that Kennedy would have had trouble sleeping after the incident the night before, even without other people around.

"You didn't have to sleep on the floor again did you?" Even though Kennedy had been unwilling to share her, or more accurately, Willow's bed, last night, she realized how the spell must have drained the redhead as well and hoped that Willow had managed to get some sleep.

"No, I slept with Buffy," Willow replied.

Kennedy smirked at her girlfriend. "We have one little incident and you go sleep with Buffy?"

Willow smiled back as she moved to sit across the bed from the potential. "You know what I mean, slept on her bed. You have heard about Buffy's relationships, right? I so don't need to get in on that."

"Yeah, 'cause I'm sure yours have been so much better." Willow's smile faded at this comment and her eyes turned sad. Kennedy was quick to apologize, "Willow, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean that."

Willow nodded, "I know you didn't. But you were right, I mean, look at my history. My first real boyfriend was a werewolf who I cheated on with my best friend. Then after we got back together he left town and when he came back I was in love with another woman." She paused for a moment here, not needing to retell that story, before continuing, "Now after all that I'm falling hard and fast for a potential slayer who just last night I…"

"Falling?" Willow's babble was cut off by Kennedy's question.

She smiled at Kennedy who was now sitting up on the bed, "Hard and fast."

The potential slayer got a gleam in her eye as she leaned closer to Willow and asked, "You know what else can be good hard and fast?"

Willow put her hand on Kennedy's cheek and in answer closed the distance between them. Their kiss was hesitant at first, neither woman knowing exactly where they stood with the other. After a few moments Kennedy's hand moved to Willow's hair as she deepened the kiss.

Soon Willow was lying on the bed with Kennedy straddling her, their tongues dueling. Kennedy was using one hand to hold herself up with the other resting on the slight expanse of the Wiccan's pale skin that was visible between her pajama top and bottoms. As Willow's mouth moved to Kennedy's neck, the potential's hand began to move up under Willow's shirt. Just as her hand was about to touch the older girl's breast, Willow pulled away.

Kennedy rolled off of Willow so that they were lying on the bed facing each other. She moved her hand up to stroke the redhead's cheek. "Is this too much?" She asked hesitantly, hoping she hadn't scared Willow off.

The Wiccan shook her head in response. "I just want to know before we go any further, are we okay? After last night and the whole crash course in how Willow gets with magic. Heavy on the crash."

Kennedy thought about her reply, being uncharacteristically careful to choose the right words. "I can't give a straight answer to that. I mean, it really freaked me out. But on the other hand, you're definitely not the only one who's falling here. I really like you Will. I mean *really* like you. And that's not something I'm willing to give up just because I got scared."

Willow was surprised at the honesty of the younger girl's response. She took Kennedy's hand in her own before replying. "It's not like you were being overreact-y. I sucked the life out of you Kennedy, that's not something anyone could accept easily."

Kennedy nodded, "But when I'm here with you, like this, all I want is to stay. None of it matters, not the fact that scary eyeless guys are out to get me, not the rest of the impending doom of firstiness and not what happened last night. It's just you and me, and it's what I want."

"Really?" Willow smiled.

Again Kennedy nodded, before leaning in to softly kiss Willow. This time it was the older girl who deepened the kiss, her tongue meeting with the potential's.

The two women continued to kiss passionately for several minutes before Willow began to move her attention to Kennedy's neck. The younger girl moaned as the redhead sucked on her earlobe.

Kennedy's hands were once more interrupted from their Willow travels, this time by a knock on the door. The two women tried to separate as Dawn entered the room.

The teenager smirked knowingly at the couple, "Hey guys, Buffy and the other potentials have finished their way early 'wake everyone in the house' training session. Now it's family meeting time."

Willow and Kennedy stared at Dawn, somewhat surprised at her lack of mentioning their position. That is, until Dawn added "You should get down there pretty quickly. I guess you'll have to continue with the groping a little later," as she exited the room.

Willow turned several shades of red, while Kennedy just smiled, turned to her new girlfriend and said "We really will."

The End
