Summary: Willow needs a virgin for a spell that Buffy is requesting and Kennedy is more than happy to help.

Chapter 1

"Ahh…nothing like the taste of cold beer and cold pizza," Xander said before taking a bite and a swig. Kennedy sat across from him at Buffy's kitchen island, a growing smirk on her face.

"I could probably add something else to that list. Beer. Pizza. And . . ."

Xander looked up, waiting for her to continue. When she didn't and her smirk grew more devious he dropped the pizza slice and started to shake his head. "Oh. Oh. That's just…wrong."

Kennedy started to laugh just as Willow rounded the corner, going to the fridge for bottled water.

"Will, your girlfriend is a pig," Xander told her. "Do you realize that? An over sexed pig."

"A pig? I'm a pig?"

"Yes you're a pig," he told Kennedy before starting to mimic her. "I could add something to that list . . . I know just what that something is that you had in mind young lady."

Kennedy chuckled. "Hey! You just assumed. So who's the pig, huh?"

"And just what were you thinking of?" Xander countered.

"Umm…Chocolate?"

"Yeah. Right."

"What are you two talking about?" Willow finally managed to ask.

Kennedy let Xander recapped the conversation until speaking up. "And he just assumed it was something sexual," she added. " . . . Not like I would know. After all, I'm still a virgin."

Willow and Xander had both began to take a drink, as Kennedy finished her analogy, and simultaneously both of them began to choke. After a few moments of clearing liquid from two sets of lungs they were able to speak.

"A virgin?" Xander asked.

"There's no way you're a virgin," Willow added, looking at Kennedy who only nodded.

Xander shot Willow a look that begged of an explanation. At first Willow was unsure of why Xander was looking at her in such a way but soon she quickly began to shake her head, her eyes wide.

"No. It's not like I'd know first-hand or…any hands for that matter…We haven't ahh…No. I mean I didn't…Not that I wouldn't…It's just…It's too soon yet to…to…y-you know…A-And it's not that she isn't sexy. It's just…I'm shutting up now."

She began to quickly chug her water in the quest to quench her mouth, which was suddenly becoming exceedingly dry.

"Well I might be Catholic but I'm not a nun. Willow can attest to that," Kennedy smirked. She and Xander watched Willow's cheeks turn the color of her hair. "But I'm flattered that she couldn't tell. I must be doing something right," Kennedy grinned to Xander who now wore a full tooth smile.

"Well it's not right per say," Willow commented which drove Kennedy's eyebrows into her hairline. "No," Willow added quickly. "I mean it is right. Real right. Sometimes too right because I find myself…It's just not right, right now…It's…complicated…Okay, I'm shutting up again."

"No please. Continue," Xander nudged. "I'd like to hear this…but with more explanation and less babble."

Willow moved from nervous to annoyed. "I think Ken's got your number," Willow retorted. "Who is the real pig here?"

"I'm just your ordinary, typical, average man Will," Xander teased. "My curiosity gets the better of me. Besides, I have no secrets. You could ask me anything about my sex life."

"You have no sex life and when you were with Anya we didn't have to ask. She'd volunteer whether we wanted to know or not."

"True," Xander agreed. "So while you know all about my sex life I've heard nothing about yours. I think it's time you shared."

"I'm not sharing."

Xander grinned to Kennedy. "And you?"

"She's not sharing either," Willow told him before Kennedy could answer.

"She can answer for herself thank you," Xander replied. "Come on Potential. Spill it."

Kennedy chuckled and Willow shot her a look that stopped her cold.

"I think if I say anything now that virginity thing will be with me a whole lot longer than I'd like."

"You're such a bully," Xander told Willow before turning to Kennedy. "And you missy, are so whipped."

"Yep," Kennedy agreed quite happily. "I am. I really am. But be honest Xander," she said as she rose and moved next to Willow. Her voice grew deeper; a bit husky. "If you had the chance to snuggle next to this beauty every night, wouldn't you do everything you could to insure that it continued?"

Xander watched as Kennedy leaned up and planted a smoldering kiss on Willow's neck near her jaw line. Willow gave the briefest of sighs at the contact and she had to will her eyes to stay open. The half-lidded rapture was short lived and Willow gently disengaged herself from Kennedy's embrace but not before leaning over to kiss Kennedy by her earlobe.

"You're bad," she said softly. "Teasing Xander like that…and me," she added.

"I'm teasing him. Not you," Kennedy smirked. Her hands found Willow's hips and she pulled her closer, their bodies shaking just slightly at the impact. Her hand reached up and snared Willow's hair by her temple. The look in Kennedy's eyes told Willow that she wouldn't be denied and helpless Willow let her head be lead down to Kennedy's lips.

It was physical attraction – pure and simple. Sure, they did care for each other on a personal level and it grew more and more each day. But the majority of the heat they had for one another was based on sexual magnetism. In truth, Willow had never felt that for anyone, at least not immediately. Both her relationships with Oz and Tara grew out of a mutual emotional connection, which slowly resulted in those relationships becoming expressed physically.

But with Kennedy it was quite the opposite. Willow would often turn to see Kennedy looking at her, her eyes devouring her. It was a smoldering sensation Willow could feel in her bones, not to mention other areas of her body. It was new. It was exciting. And she was finding it more and more difficult to put the breaks on when they found those rare times to be alone in the house.

Willow suddenly realized this was not one of those times as she felt her lips nipping at Kennedy's with a certain amount of abandon. Slightly embarrassed by her lack of reserve, Willow pulled back to see Xander sitting slack-jawed at the counter.

She couldn’t help but grin at his reaction. "Satisfied," she smirked, trying to mask her discomfort at her display.

"No not yet. But I'll take care of that later."

The girls chuckled. "Pig," Kennedy and Willow muttered in harmony before a case of the giggle erupted at both thinking and saying the same thing.

Buffy walked in and cocked her head at Xander.

"Feeling okay? You look a little pale."

"That's because all the blood in my body is shifting to one central location. I'll have you know our best friend and her girlfriend are trying to kill me."

Buffy looked over at Willow and Kennedy, curled up next to each other.

"Behave," Buffy warned the pair by the fridge. "There are still 'kids' in the house. Plus there's only one bathroom. I'm not sure we can have Xander in there for 15 or 20 minutes at a time each day."

"It wouldn’t take that long. Trust me," he muttered.

"The sixty second man?" Kennedy asked with a wide grin.

"Today? Yes," he answered.

Willow felt a sense of retribution when she saw Xander's nervous grin. "Paybacks are a bitch," she told him.

"Oh lordy," Xander sighed before trying to change the topic. "So Buf, what brings you home this early tonight? Not much to slay?"

"It's unusually quiet. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. When I was out on patrol a thought occurred to me though," she said before facing Willow. "I wanted to know if you might have a certain spell."

"What kind of spell?"

"Well I'm not sure if something even exists but would it be possible for you to know the location of all the slayers? Or like be able to find them at any given moment? I know that you and Tara had a finding spell that you did."

"Yeah but that went both ways."

Xander snickered from the island and Willow shot him a dirty look before continuing.

"I mean she was able to do the spell too. I'm not sure if I could train the Slayers to learn everyone's location at the same time."

"Well I'm not worried about them knowing. Just you. So is it possible to do a spell where you would know where they are? Not the usual locator spell but something more…I don’t know…immediate."

"You mean like telepathy without speaking to them? Like Molly's on the north ridge, Kennedy's on the east kinda thingy?"

"Exactly!"

"I'm not sure. If there is then it's probably pretty advanced. The simple 'tinkerbell' spell, as Xander called it, was actually far from simple. It took months of practicing with Tara a-and years of prior spell casting experience. Not that it matters but…why do you ask?"

"Well when things finally come down. And we know things are gonna come down…Then I'd like to be able to have you at my side telling me where everyone is so if a Slayer in training…" Buffy paused not sure how to word it in front of Kennedy. "…falls…then the first can't impersonate them. Plus we could use the spell to send reinforcements. Say Kennedy is in trouble. We'll know the two closest potentials to her that could lend a hand. Then you could 'message' each Slayer immediately on where to meet her. Stuff like that…Do you think it's possible?"

"Just about anything is possible with magic," Willow replied. "I'll hit the books and see if I can come up with something. Sounds like a good plan if it's feasible."

"That'd be great Will," she replied before starting to leave. "I'm gonna try to catch up on my sleep. I'm heading off to bed…By the way, is Anya around?"

"Her and Giles went over to the Magic Box. Well, what's left of the Magic Box," Willow said sheepishly.

"Okay. Let her know I put her pajamas in the bathroom so she doesn't have to fumble in the dark. 'Night guys."

"'Night," they all replied.

Once Buffy disappeared, Xander let out a sigh. "It's ironic. My ex-girlfriend is sleeping with a woman too. Well not sleeping but you know…sleeping."

"Which ex?" Kennedy asked. "You've got a history with two women in this house from what I heard," she teased.

"One history is much more ancient than the other," Xander countered.

"Yeah," Willow added, "and it's not really a history – ancient or otherwise - when it comes to Xander and I…It's more like ah…a cliff-notes version of dating."

"I wonder if Buffy ever wakes up to find Anya wrapped around her like you do with me?" Kennedy asked Willow. "Not that I'm complaining mind you," she added quickly with a grin.

"Okay," Xander said, throwing his hands in the air. "I can't take much more of this tonight. You and Will. Buffy and Anya…I'm going to bed too."

"Sweet dreams," Kennedy smirked.

"Ohhh you'd like that wouldn't you?" Xander replied harshly before starting to grin.

Kennedy simply smiled as they watched Xander leave the kitchen.

"Anya get her clothes?"

Willow closed the door to her bedroom and nodded. "Yeah. She and Giles got back just a few minutes ago. I'm gonna head over to the Magic Box tomorrow. Look through some books if you wanna come," Willow said going to her dresser.

"Sure…Oh wait. When? I've got training tomorrow. Buffy wants me to show the other girls the crossbow."

"We can go before or after your finished. I don't have classes tomorrow."

"Okay."

Kennedy took out her ponytail and started to brush her hair as Willow shyly changed for bed behind her. The brunette couldn't help but notice the red head in the mirror and had to smile.

"So you really didn't know?" Kennedy asked, turning to face Willow who was pulling up her pj bottoms.

"Know what?" Willow replied immediately but then realizing what she meant. "Oh the ah, virgin thing…No I didn't. You seem so…confident is all."

"Well confidence takes you further than skill sometimes."

"It's all in the image huh?" Willow proposed.

"Exactly. If you act like you know what you're doing then chances are people will belief you know," she said with a half-chuckle. "It's not just that, though. At least not when it comes to you."

"What do you mean?"

Kennedy closed the distance between them and took a seat on the bed next to Willow. "With you, I don't try to act confident. There's something about you that just brings it out. It just feels like…for the first time in my life I've meet a beautiful woman who isn't frightened to be with me."

"I don't know about that," Willow grinned. "I've had my moments you know. Morphing. Back yard. Target Practice."

"Yeah I know. You've got issues. And they're unlike any I've faced before but that's actually not a bad thing Will…You have days when you think you're nothing but a human wreck but I gotta say…you're a lot more put together than most of the girl's at my boarding school. And yes that includes taking the morphing into account," Kennedy said with a soft grin.

"I find it hard to believe that I'm…y-you know…all together."

"You gotta understand…the girls at school - they wanted to 'practice' kissing for when the right guy came along. Who was I to argue?" Kennedy shrugged with a grin. But soon, Willow watched as she grew more serious. "But with all the practice, I never met anyone that might actually consider…something more then just…a few kisses and friendly groping," she finished with a nervous laugh.

"But I'm different huh?"

"Yeah. You're a woman-not a girl. And you're not afraid of the fact that you can be attracted to a woman. You don't have to make up 'practice' excuses. You're different then them. And might I add you're far more sexier than all of them put together."

"I'm not sure if sexy is an accurate term to describe me," Willow answered.

"Why?" Kennedy asked.

"Well, I can't seem to finish a thought when I'm around you without rambling."

"It's endearing."

"And you know," she said pulling at her tank top and boxers, "not the most sensual of apparel."

"Well I gotta glimpse of what's under that so I beg to differ. Sometimes a glimpse is far more erotic than a full show. But I have to admit…A full show might just give me a heart attack but I'm willing to take that chance when you're ready." Kennedy countered.

"Okay, maybe but…" Willow pause and bit her lower lip. "You're not making this easy for me," Willow sighed in defeat.

"No I'm not. It shouldn't be easy. You should have no reason to ask why I think you're sexy…So does this mean I win the argument? Am I allowed to think you're sexy?"

"You never give up, do you?" Willow grinned.

"When it comes to you…never."

Willow gave a sad grin and started playing with her fingernails, unable to look at Kennedy any longer.

"I think you've had a lot of people give up on you Will," Kennedy began. "Throughout your whole life…People have just walked away…Xander's a great guy but he's a fool for not noticing you when he had the chance. And you've told me the story of how Oz left. And Tara left too when you fell into your magic addiction. Hell even your parents are like mine. Making money took precedence over raising their kid."

Willow couldn't look up and Kennedy put her fingers under Willow's chin to lead her eyes back to her before continuing.

"None of them could handle it when things got tense. And I've got years of training when it comes to tense…Maybe I'm nothing more than 'Ms. Transitional'." Willow began to protest but Kennedy put a finger over her lips before she could argue. "Don't go making promises you can't keep. It will only make you feel guiltier in the end and I don't want that type of responsibility on my shoulders."

Willow moved Kennedy's hand gently. "I'm just not sure what to make of all this," she replied, motioning her hand between them.

"Don't make anything of it. Don't analyze it to death. Just realize that when things get rough I stick it out and see it through because it gets better at some point. When I walked in and saw my watcher…my Giles, ripped apart…to say I had a crisis of faith is an understatement. But you know what? I stuck it out. And it brought me to you…So yet again, I'm right. You see bad things to the end and eventually good things will follow. You just don't walk away…At least I don't…So yeah, be prepared because you aren't shakin' me if things get a little…or a lot…rocky 'round here. But if the time comes…and my presence hurts you more than helps you…and we've exhausted every possible situation…then and only then would I walk away…And it wouldn't be for me. It would be for you."

Willow sighed but she also wore a grin. "Looks like I'm baggin' it again tonight. The bed is j-just too dangerous after that speech," she confessed.

"Come on," Kennedy said climbing up and under the covers before killing the light on the nightstand. "No bags. Just cuddles…Yeah, I want you. But you're not ready just yet. And that's okay Will. I have ever intention of being with you but only when the time is right for both of us and you're certain it's what you want." When Willow didn't immediately follow, Kennedy nodded her to settle beside her. "Come on. You're safe with me. I promise."

Willow complied and took her place next to Kennedy, who arranged the pillows under her arm so she could hold Willow and keep the Wiccan comfortable at the same time.

"This is nice," Kennedy told her. "Just to be able to lay here. Holding you. Not worrying about the head mistress coming in," she joked.

Willow let out a small giggle before settling in a bit more. A small silence filled the room before Willow asked, "You really think kismet brought you here?"

"I'm not a highly religious person but I think there's a higher power for good. After all we've seen the power for evil already…So yeah I do. And I do think it's a miracle on some level…Consider this: I've needed someone who believed in something other than 'make believe' and 'practicing'. You've needed someone to lead you toward love and faith. I think we're pretty evenly matched if you ask me."

Willow paused a moment, wondering if she should let her emotions come out verbally. When she felt Kennedy tighten her hold, the words slipped past her lips. "I think we are too. That's something I…I didn’t think I could feel again."

Willow couldn't see Kennedy's smile in the dark. "Like I said…evenly matched. Get some rest. Well talk more in the morning."

With that Willow let out a relaxed sigh and closed her eyes as Kennedy gave a silent prayer of thanks to whatever power out there might be listening.

Chapter 2

Night was beginning to fall by the time Willow and Kennedy arrived at the magic box. Kennedy walked in first with Willow following behind. Both of them looked around with their flashlights, making sure the place was vacant.

"Why do I feel like I'm in an X-files episode?" Kennedy asked, shining the light around the room.

Willow chuckled. "Nah you'd have to have a cell phone in your hand too," she added.

Kennedy smiled, making her way over to the bookshelf while Willow went to the counter to light a candle. Once the room was glowing with light she turned the flashlight off and set both items on the huge table. She walked over to join Kennedy in her search.

"Locator spells huh?" Kennedy asked.

"Yeah," Will answered pointing to a section. "They're someplace over here."

She leaned over Kennedy, reaching for a book. Her body strained against the brunettes back as she wrapped her fingers around the books spine. "Sorry," she muttered softly.

"Oh no. You're allowed in my personal space anytime you like. Even more so when you press that hot body against me."

Willow grinned and gave her a light peck on the lips. That magnetism pulled her back again for another. She's not sure how it happened exactly but the book had left her hand and Kennedy had her pinned to the shelf, kissing her deeply. At some point the flashlight that Kennedy was holding was dropped as well because Willow could feel both of Kennedy's hand on her hips as their lips and tongues fought for dominance over each other.

Kennedy's hand caressed the length of Willow's stomach, over her breast until it finally tangled itself in her hair. Willow couldn't contain her moan. She loved the way Kennedy pulled her closer, tugging her closer by her red tresses. No one had ever been so forceful with her and she found that she loved the way it felt. She figured Oz was always afraid of letting the 'wolf' out so he held back. With Tara, there was always a shy reserve about her. Even after years of being together, Willow would be the one to take the lead. It was exciting yet unnerving all at once. And for a moment Willow wondered why Tara couldn't have ever taken her like this – kissing her madly, grinding their hips together, making the first move.

The remembrance of Tara washed over Willow and in an instant Kennedy felt it. Slowly Willow disengaged herself from the wall. "I'm sorry," she said softly. "I just…"

"Remembered her," Kennedy answered. She tried not to sound defeated but it crept in anyway. She knew it hadn't even been a year yet since Tara's death and she knew Willow was confused about a lot of things in life. She took a deep breath to regain control of her raging libido.

Willow took the noise as frustration and quickly explained. "I know this is hard for you a-and I don't want you thinking I'm a tease. I'm really not. A-and please don’t think I don't enjoy these moments. Because I do. I really do…b-but sometimes I just…ah, I think things…you know? And I try not to. I mean I want to concentrate on you and you alone. But-."

Willow ceased her rambling as Kennedy turned around and walked over to her. She pulled Willow closer by the waist before giving her an almost chaste kiss on the lips. "How long as it been? Since she died?"

"8 months and 17 days," Willow answered.

"Well, you're not morphing or counting hours anymore. It's an improvement," Kennedy grinned. Willow tried to hide her face. "Hey," Kennedy said, pulling her chin up. "It's gonna take time. I know that. Like I said, I'm here to help. So let's find your spell Cinderella."

Kennedy winked before going to the floor to retrieve the book and the flashlight. She motioned Willow over to the table. The redhead had to grin. She admired Kennedy's strength and perseverance. And she was grateful that someone like this had come into her life. She was living in a house full of people already before Kennedy arrived but she still felt alone.

Sure the gang had forgiven her…Well except for Anya…She did make a remark now and then about her 'lack of livelihood' thanks to Willow…But still with all the people around she did feel truly alone. At least until Kennedy arrived. Kennedy noticed her and yes it was just sexual but the more they learned about each other the more Willow found her gravitating emotionally to her as well. Kennedy became the rock she needed to cling to and it seemed Kennedy didn't mind being in that role. But Willow wasn't stupid. She knew the young woman wanted more. And Willow did want to give her more but how much more was the question.

Not thinking about it anymore Willow decided to dive into her studies. She began to look through the first book they pulled down as Kennedy walked around the shop. Willow didn't pay much attention as she read until she heard Kennedy's voice and she looked over. She found Kennedy kneeling on the ground next to a scattered pile of books.

"Okay I'm not really up on this magic stuff but shouldn't have magic books have like…writing," she said tossing it aside. "None of these books have any words."

"No those ones don't," Willow answered.

"Oookaaay," Kennedy sighed. "It doesn't make sense but not much of this stuff does."

"I took it," Willow muttered softly.

"What?"

"When I became big, scary Willow…I drained those books – absorbed the spells and the type along with them. Those are the books I used."

"Yet another case of open mouth insert foot. I'm sorry for asking Will."

"It's a part of me. I can't deny it. I shouldn't actually. To deny it might mean I could forget it a-and I can't forget because I don't want to walk down that road again."

"You won't."

"You don't know that. Heck, I don't know that. I mean if something were to happen to you I…I don't know how I'd handle it."

"You'd stay on the right path."

"Oh really?"

"Yep or I'd come back from the dead and kick your ass. And chances are I won't be in the best of moods when I do. So you better behave."

"Yes ma'am," Willow replied with a grin.

"Good girl," Kennedy nodded as she came over. She looked at the book Willow had opened on the desk. "Anything in that one?"

"Nah, not quite what I need." Willow walked back over to the bookshelf and took two more books down. "I'm looking for an immediate locator spell. Something that becomes a permanent trait or condition of the caster."

She handed one book to Kennedy as she took the other. After a few moments Kennedy spoke up.

"Hey I might have found something," she announced before starting to read. "Calling on Macha, Celtic War Goddess. Also goddess of cunning, sexuality and dominance…Let's see…Macha gives the caster the sight of location with the casting of wax."

"Let me see," Willow said and Kennedy slid the book over and pointed before Willow continued to read. "Macha gives the caster the gift of sight however participants must be willing to engage in the ceremony ritual. Participants must dip their fingertips in the wax making a cast of their fingerprints. The wax is then added back into the burning candle."

"Sounds easy enough," Kennedy answers.

Willow read further before she started shaking her head. "No, this won't work."

"Why not? Sounds like what you're looking for."

"Oh it sure is but I have to make a virgin sacrifice and I'm not putting any virgins on any alter."

"Damn," Kennedy sighed taking the book and reading for herself. Willow began her search in her book until Kennedy spoke up.

"You don’t have to kill anyone for this Will."

"What?"

"It says here that the 'sacrifice' can be an metaphorical one, not an actual mortal sacrifice…You could still do this spell."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying I'm game if you are," Kennedy grinned.

Where do you want to go from here?

Willow considers doing the spell.            Willow refuses to do the spell.
